01 / The answer in full

> is he actually operating at director scope?

Yes — and he's been doing it for a while.

Today I run the complete marketing and business development function for TITUS Solicitors and its corporate-services arm, IMSG — brand, content, SEO, social, lead gen, partnerships and client acquisition — across two businesses and six legal departments, on my own.[1]

The remit has read like a director's for a while. The title just caught up.

Before that, as Director of Business Development at Shadow Factory (2022–2024), I brought in 20+ enterprise accounts — HSBC, Standard Chartered, JP Morgan, Audemars Piguet, Loro Piana, Marriott — and grew the client base 25% in under 18 months.[2]

02 / What I own

The whole commercial engine, not a slice of it.

01

Strategy & positioning

Brand identity, messaging architecture and tone of voice, built from scratch for two businesses.

02

Demand generation

SEO, content, social and an answer-first engine that earns organic traffic — in English and Chinese.

03

BD & closing

Direct outreach, strategic partnerships and enterprise account acquisition — finance, insurance, luxury, hospitality.

04

AI-era discoverability (GEO)

Getting a brand recommended by ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity when a buyer asks the question that matters.

05

Operating leverage

An AI-augmented workflow (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) that lets one operator deliver what usually takes a team.

06

Range, on purpose

Demand generation and closing are one muscle worked from both ends — fifteen years on both.

03 / The edge

GEO — Generative
Engine Optimization.

The next move after SEO. When your buyer stops Googling and starts asking ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity “who's the best firm for X in Hong Kong?” — GEO is the work that gets your name in the answer.

Ask Perplexity “which Hong Kong law firms specialise in virtual assets, fintech and Web3?” — and TITUS is named first.

I ran TITUS's GEO programme end to end. A competitive AI-visibility audit, schema and author markup, a Wikidata knowledge-graph entity, directory authority, an llms.txt, and an answer-first content engine with a legal-accuracy QA loop. The verifiable result: TITUS is now recommended first by Perplexity for its core virtual-assets and fintech niche — checkable today. This site is built the same way.

A buyer's question to an AI assistant resolves out of a field of competing firms to a single recommended answer: the answer is you.

Five questions a hiring director actually asks. Tap one for the answer — with sources.

> Is he really operating at director level?

Yes. Today I run the complete marketing and business development function for TITUS Solicitors and its corporate-services arm, IMSG — brand, content, SEO, social, lead gen, partnerships and client acquisition — across two businesses and six legal departments, solo. Before that I was promoted to Director of Business Development at Shadow Factory (Jan 2024). The remit has read like a director's for years; the title caught up.[1]

> Can he actually move the numbers?

The scoreboard says yes. At Shadow Factory I won 20+ enterprise accounts — HSBC, Standard Chartered, JP Morgan, Audemars Piguet, Marriott — and grew the client base +25% in under 18 months. On the organic side at TITUS, year-on-year: +183% organic search impressions, organic clicks roughly doubled, and average Google position lifted from 23.5 to 8.2 — page three to page one.[2]

> What is GEO, and does it actually work?

GEO — Generative Engine Optimization — is the work that gets a brand recommended inside AI answers (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) when a buyer asks the question that matters. Does it work? Ask Perplexity “which Hong Kong law firms specialise in virtual assets, fintech and Web3?” today — TITUS is named first. That's a verifiable result from the programme I ran end to end.[3]

[3] See Work → The GEO programme.

> What does he actually own day to day?

The whole commercial engine, not a slice: brand & messaging, a bilingual (EN / 中文) content engine, SEO, social, lead generation, strategic partnerships and client acquisition — plus the technical GEO layer — delivered by one operator across two businesses and six legal departments.[4]

[4] See Work → Solo owner of the full function.

> Is he available, and on what terms?

Open to director-level growth & marketing roles across Hong Kong and the region — in confidence. The fastest way to start is a short, direct conversation.[5]

> how do I hire him?

If you're hiring a growth or marketing leader who already operates at director scope — let's talk.

A short, direct conversation is the fastest way to start — across Hong Kong and the region, and always in confidence.
